Tide Moon Tales makes adventures for tables that want to laugh, lean in, and feel something real by the final session.
Welcome! I’ve been playing and loving D&D since I was a kid in the 80’s. As a parent, I wanted to find ready-made adventures to play with my kids, but got frustrated by tedious mechanics that weighed down the gameplay and stories that ran through the paces but were ultimately forgettable.
I started Tide Moon Tales to create adventures focused on deeply human stories, cinematic gameplay, and endings that stay with you long after you’re done.
What the adventures are
Built for the table, not the shelf.
Every adventure is a complete story you can run in a handful of sessions. They’re compatible with fifth-edition rules, but the rules stay light. Most of each book goes to people, places and scenes: who these characters are, what they want, what they’re hiding, and how to play them so your players care.
The style of play they reward is cinematic. When a player describes a blow so vividly the table can see it, plays a scene in character, or makes everyone laugh at exactly the right moment, the book gives the game master a way to reward it. A fight is a chance to tell a story, not just a string of dice rolls.
And every story has something human at its centre. Small details are planted early on purpose, so that when the ending comes, it lands with real weight. Each book gives you clear notes on its heavier themes, so you can talk with your players first and decide how close the camera goes.
The art
Painted for the story.
The covers, scenes and battlemaps are made for each adventure, so the places your players walk through look like the ones on the page. Battlemaps come gridded and gridless, at print and virtual-tabletop resolutions. Art and maps are also sold on their own for anyone who wants them for their own games.
Where to start
Every adventure has a free preview, so you can read the opening before you buy. If you run games often, the membership brings a new release each month plus everything already in the shop.
